Aphmau - Anime-Style Animated Video
We were only too happy to help Aphmau transform some of their most hilarious moments into a fresh, anime-style cartoon.
The Client
Aphmau is a YouTube channel that primarily has wacky adventures playing the popular game “Minecraft” and currently has a fan-base over 14 million subscribers strong.
The Objective
The goal was to animate the best moments from the game in a cool and wacky anime-inspired style that suited Aphmau’s attitude and brand. The video we produced defined the style for an ongoing series of videos for the channel.
Our Approach
We explored many different visual styles, collected them into a pitch portfolio, and presented our proposals directly to the client. Working together, Aphmau and Pat Animation wound-up combining different qualities from all the styles to make a complex animated sequence that captured the energy of the scene in a way that was distinctly Aphmau.
